Choosing the right size of the dog bed can be tricky sometimes, taking into consideration that every dog is different, even among the same breed. This is why we prepared a special size guide to dog beds to help you find the perfect bed for your pup! :)

Measuring your dog

Choosing the right size of the dog bed is the most important aspect, right after choosing the right shape. In order to do that you will need a tape measure to get an accurate measurement of your dog. The best to try this when your dog is in relaxed position with all four paws on the ground with the head up (but not over stretched).

Now measure the height and length of your dog as shown in the diagram below:

- height: from the top of the head straight down to the floor

- length: from the tip of the nose to the start of the tail

These two measurements will help you find the recommended minimum of the length and depth of the bed. For even greater comfort of your dog, please add 5-10 cm to the each measurement.

The calculated measurements give you a minimum length and minimum depth of the bed that will give your dog enough room to stretch out fully and move around. 

Even if your dog often sleep curled up, we recommend that you allow enough room for your pup to stretch out fully and have the choice.
