Why do dogs tilt their heads when we talk to them?

In many situations, when we talk to our dogs, they tilt their heads. For sure every dog parent knows this gesture very well - head tilted to the side and wise eyes fixed on us. We decided to check what is the reason for this characteristic gesture of dogs.
